Becoming a Black Belt Leader in Life

Earning his first black belt was the result of years of dedication, persistence, patience and focus. That experience set the stage for future pursuits, both in the martial arts community and in his professional life as a coach, speaker and trainer. It's what John calls the pursuit of "black belt excellence" in life, which has led to induction into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame (2008) and the Masters Hall of Fame (2016).

In addition, that same pursuit of black belt excellence has led to certifications as a Master Coach and Trainer with Real Life Management (2007) and a certified speaker, coach and trainer with The John Maxwell Team (2017), as well as leading several successful organizations over the past three decades. Pursuing "black belt excellence" in his personal and professional life has afforded him the opportunity to literally touch and influence people around the world.
